I read across many genres, have written a fair amount of fanfiction, occasionally take stabs at writing original fiction. I also mod Minecraft, and write code professionally. I am a crabby old lady with a low tolerance for bullshit, too.
Vaguely related: I was pleasantly surprised to see you starring in an old Perry Mason episode I was watching ("The Case of the Blushing Pearl"). At first, it was your voice I recognized--the voice of Lt. Sulu. Then I looked at the character's face and said, "Isn't that George Takei?" Spouse agreed.

Who is this idiot I have never heard of? I have at least heard of Richard Spencer the Nazi and Ta-Nehisi Coates the distinguished author and columnist (I used to read his column in the Atlantic).

Fanfiction writers are pretty annoyed at "AI slop" appearing in fanfiction archives, because LLMs can't write good fanfiction. Characters without personality, blatant inconsistencies from scene to scene, simple, bland plots if there is a plot, etc.

IMHO, Trump is Saruman to Putin's Sauron. He's doing his master's bidding in weakening our relations with our NATO allies. Perhaps someday historians will be able to prove his treason, but not until both men are dead and their countries' governments changed.

Seriously? Just because Musk is the money man behind SpaceX doesn't make it suck. They've done amazing things reducing the cost of launches and making rockets reuseable. Musk isn't the COO; Gwynne Shotwell is, and she's doing a fine job. Also, the R.U.D expression was invented at NASA.

Ditto for his presence on Tumblr, where he was very active. As soon as this broke, he disappeared. I figured he was just sensibly following the advice of his lawyer and or publicist, which he probably was. To me, that wasn't a bad sign. The bad sign was all the testimony against him.

They're dragons. In "The Hobbit", Tolkien compared Smaug's rage about his hoard missing a single piece to that of a rich person who has so much stuff that they don't even know what they have--and they just found out something was stolen.

We've been slowly getting the entire EGO line of electric yard tools that use the same rechargeable battery packs. They've finally got rechargeable battery tech working right--the battery doesn't go belly up and die after 3 recharges and holds enough charge to get the day's job done.

The same is true of Tumblr and most of Reddit. We keep trying to get people to stop censoring themselves by using weird euphemisms and misspellings, because it make stuff hard to read and it's stupid.
If I read that someone suffered from "grape", obviously it's a fruit allergy, not sexual assault.
