I nursed my wounded pride and a new migraine as I was ushered upstairs and into the lounge. There, I wiled away some bells quietly listening to travelers speak of old travails and future endeavors, the auspices of what we call Fate, and forging bonds amongst themselves. 12/15

In the drinking, I learned the trick of their most fearsome beverage: 'Tis envenomed by an adder. Of which, I could not say. To my credit, I did not black out.. But I could not continue. Mine was not the only loss, either. The performers harmed an expensive painting nearby. 11/15

The bar made ready the Tower, and issued my challenge to the venue proper. Alas, the game was short-lived. I bit into ginger and hoped meat and rice solvent enough to soak the blow.

Behind me, a minstrel performed pieces on request, and a number of their own beside. By way of appreciation, I had him purchased his favorite drink. More performances followed afterwards, boasting exotic and dangerous carnival games using an assistant and thrown Chakrams. 9/15

I put my senses to those around me as I ate, taking in myriad conversations. The waitstaff bore each other a congeniality reserved for close comrades-in-arms, and it extended to many of the patrons. This was a place well used and well loved by mercenaries of character. 8/15

A /suspiciously/ familiar Miqo'te woman brought forth the repast as I considered my foe, four drinks named Four Winds; Gods of Doman domain. I wagered if I could best the greatest they had to offer, whatever technique was used to make them so deadly would be much dulled. 7/15

From their menu, I ordered three items in an attempt to arm myself for the undertaking ahead: Six different Onigiri, or 'rice balls' with an assortment of meats, a mulled sweet wine known as the Violet Tides, and a simple hunk of ginger root from the kitchens. --Insurance. 6/15

Feeling emboldened from the victory, I made to impulse purchase a round of drinks for all present at the bar. A decision that I probably shouldn't have made in hindsight, as the terms I used implied I bought out the whole of the bar. I may be getting a tongue lashing later. 9/12

Slowly though, I ate. One tentative mouthful after the next, savory heat gave way to salt, the tart sting of radish, and earthier tones. As other patrons failed to stomach the dish around me, I found I was instead wanting still more. So, I finished G'raha Tia's serving as well. 8/12

I came to learn after my encounter that both items potency were attributed to a special 'hot sauce' sharing the dishes' names made special, in house. In the adding, it changed the temperament of a given meal. G'raha Tia's first bite laid him low, unable to advance. I readied 6/12
