As someone from the Deep South, non-southern attempts are southern, Cajun and creole foods are always laughable at best. Your best bet is to find a Soul Food restaurant if you’re outside the South. It’s better anyway.

As a Philadelphian, I am honestly incredibly offended when somebody from Wyoming or Texas claims to be from “real America” like mfer my America is about 100 years older and “realer” than yours. America was born in my back yard you up-jumped provincials.

I’ve been on a kick lately where I listen to his later live versions of Little Red Corvette and Thieves in the Temple. I’d love to see him go wild for a Tiny Desk Concert.
