I started this project from nothing, making my own equipment and teaching myself some very technical processes, such as a vacuum based lost wax casting. All for Ukraine.
The rings are a new idea and this is my first attempt.

After brazing the ring together, I ground the wide section into a complementary shape to match the handle and polished it until it shines.

Braze the ring and edging wire together with silver. Clean and sand off the flux residue.

Roll and hammer the spoon around a tube that is the correct size for the final ring.
In this case, I cut some silver wire and bent it to fit along the edge of the handle.

Hi toots, I'm sorry for the slow reply. I'm dealing with a chest infection and a sickness bug at the moment.
I decided on this for Julia as it has a more general appeal but I could do most things really, it's just takes a bit of time to prototype and create a master for anything new. ❤️

Update: I've finished an antique silver Tryzub pendant (request from Sue).
I've ordered a super powerful vacuum pump from eBay and I've now got some silver solder paste that contains silver, you just put it on and melt it to join silver.

I managed to cast 11 silver pieces at the weekend. It doesn't look like much but this should raise +$1200 USD.
The slow cool didn't stop the surface coating of phosphates developing but boiling the pieces in lemon juice makes it easy to scrub off.
I seem to only have one issue now, there are
