Thank you! I really feel like we need more papers on the ethics of our research practices - platforms keep changing, and with them, user's expectations do too.

Don't get me wrong. A tax on Big Tech to support journalism is a solid idea, but this "negotiate or else" setup is broken. It shouldn’t be a backstop for failed deals; it should be the system! A transparent, fair tax with clear quality benchmarks would serve the public far better than backroom deals

It was so comically hot though! 30c+ on the day and no air-con in the Great Hall. The hat and robe should be optional during an Australian summer ceremony 🥵
