But that being said, looking back at the original intent of the new design, if the goal was to make her less complicated, I fear you failed. She seems more bloated than before. Instead of a simple design with complicated mechanics, you’ve just now opted for a complicated design with simple mechanics

After looking through, the only major flaw I found with this new kit is that this long distance play you expect will be nonexistent, as the moment you dive a Survivor from far away with a drone, they’ll just immediately remove it. I’d make it so there is a period of time before a Survivor can do so.

While I’m thrilled Haste doesn’t stack, I’d be careful about making sweeping Haste buffs. Some of the perks in the game REALLY don’t need to be compensated for this change, as they are already strong. I’d make no changes right away and see what perks start requiring them before blindly buffing (2/2)

I agree with all who want Quests to be called Rituals. “Quests” does not at all fit the theme of the game. I also saw an idea of allowing players to choose their own rarity colors, and I think thats brilliant, especially for color blind folks that have specific needs! (1/2)

This also addresses the issue of SM having “too much going on” with her power. It becomes a very simple back and forth, almost like Myers. Get scanned enough and eventually SM will become more of a threat than you can handle. Coordinate against her well enough, and the tides turn.

Something like that. Create a power that feels like youre creating your network of intel that will slowly pinpoint where every Survivor is and use GS to hunt them down.
Survivors must coordinate to combat this power by avoiding detection and hacking drones.
It becomes a battle over information

-When in GS, power slowly depletes.
-Depletes faster for each drone not in use, and cannot place more during GS. Incentivizing SM to create her network and Survivors to hack.
-Survivors only see SM aura on successful hack during GS mode.

-SM places drones that scan survivors to build up Global Scan (GS).
-SM can take control of drones to move them around, but cannot see survivors while doing so.
-When GS is built up, activate to have all survivors tagged on scanner, REGARDLESS of running, crouching, hiding.

I like where you’re going but it’s going to lead to a similar issue. SM players will simply drop drones at loops again, and when chasing survivors into those loops, divebomb them with a drone. For a chessmaster character, this seems rather dull. My idea would be as follows:

So many people mentioned how they didnt like his control scheme but I saw no mention of it in these changes. Shame.

Also I understand your mission with Wake Up but yikes man all you guys did was shoot the perk dead. Again. It was already a weak perk I genuinely dont think you needed to be so harsh.

Honestly his swap button also being the teleport if you hold it is REALLY unintuitive. I’d rather those be bound to separate keys, like with Ghostface’s crouch and stalk. We have two killer buttons for a reason! 😅

Completely get the misunderstanding, lots of folks who dont get how the industry works are quick to shit on the devs when theyre just programmers who do what theyre told. 🙏
And yeah AI is tricky, so I’m not surprised HM had some trouble, but it definitely couldve been lessened with proper time haha

I think if the devs got more time with each chapter, DBD would have less problems, and better chapters. Thats what I’m saying here.

The developers are doing great. I’m not shitting on them at all. I’m shitting on the higher ups forcing the devs to pump out content every 3 months when they clearly cannot keep up with it. She did not release with “slight” bugs, thats why they rushed to fix her after.

Unfortunately doesn’t change anything. Houndmaster (as well as most chapters they release) come with way more bugs than fixes, and they are constantly having to fight back against their extreme content schedule when they’ve just never been able to handle it. I am glad she’s still playable tho.
