The amount of people who are defending Kirk over on Txitter by *also* downplaying his work at the same time is amusing me. Like, they're "woobifying" him, while publicly shitting on his legacy and the last 15+ years of his life and dumbing it down to "he just talked"

I turned down that foie gras burger immediately due to, you know, the ethics around foie gras, and all the lobster and shellfish got turned down because *allergy*, so here we are I guess.

They've also done the really simple one of measuring curvature. They had the math done perfectly, saying things like "if the Earth is flat we'll get X result, but if it's a globe and as big as they claim, we'll get Y result instead"

I've tried to argue it, and all I get is "I show my birth certificate/get family to bring my birth certificate". Like okay? Without due process, there's no reason for them to even *check* the birth certificate, or to do anything other than go "looks fake" and do what they were gonna do anyway.

The "litter tray for student who identifies as a cat" story has also been attributed to multiple schools in different countries, US, UK, and Australia. It's the same story every time, the only thing that changes is the location. Even the fact it's a girl stays the same.
