If you reconstruct Dragonite's BW sprite from its component parts, but leave off the wings, arms, and legs, the body plan becomes much clearer.
Dragonite's Black/White version sprite, reconstructed from parts, without wings, arms, or legs. Its body shape is very similar to a fat orange Dratini or Dragonair.

Whereas my favorite me is the Untamed one because I was the biggest shit in the Untamed! So I probably have more than one Lan Wangji. I can't wait to fucking see what dub me is like in English if they get one (I've already seen Japanese dub me lol). I want to see the chibi series SO BAD but as it's an offshoot of the animation, probably can't. I can't even watch any animated me. It's too much. I'm pretty much 100% canon compliant "on screen". Hmmmmm.
