I copied this @ellisjrosen.bsky.social using a normal pen. I have a new job and I had the office to myself in the evening. I played some music and was just in the moment, draaawring happily. At least, my "fun project" did not consist of trying to revive a dead body... 😉

I found this AI image as part of an advertisement in a free TV magazine. Once upon a time creating these images would have been the job of an Illustrator...
I liked the comic style and copied the AI image.

I was practicing draaawring noses last months to improve my portraiture draaawring. I am fascinated by noses. They are so different and carry so much individuality! I wonder why so many people feel insecure about their nose? Is it due to society's limited beauty standards? #portraiture

It was just meant to be a warm-up exercise when I drew him with a pencil. I liked the draaawring so much that I inked and coloured him with alcohol markers.

I started the painting almost a year ago. The Ben Day Dots are all applied by hand with a sewing needle.

However, the long time to dot the surface is part of the art. It is a sign of my humanity. A memory. We are more than what can be seen. We are more than efficiency. #popart

The portrait took me only half an hour, and I was pretty pleased with the way it turned out.

I am also happy about the slightly cartoony style of the portrait.
I added the background a week later.
