John Wick taught me definitively that I have a THING for overpowered characters, particularly those who are soft for one particular person (or who just have a soft side in general)

Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron taught me the importance of staying true to who you are and finding where you belong.

The Last Unicorn taught me the importance of magic & prolly started me on "universe, do as you will" much like Schmendrick's (sp?) chant when he saved the unicorn from the red bull

The Mercy Thompson series by Patricia Briggs taught me that there are other ways to write werewolf stories.

Beauty & the Beast taught me that finding your tribe might sometimes mean dealing with an asshole. But if you look for the green flags, sometimes that asshole is worth having around.
