This is a much better, cheaper and logistically sustainable solution. Works lovely. Even when kids dodge the locking process (and a couple try)....they're easy to spot and the others normally highlight them quickly.

We use pouches...it works lovely. Students have their own phones at all times. Lock and unlock them at form. Or see a pastoral leader.
Pouches about £5. Part of uniform costs (or school covers if a concern).
