Today is Transgender Day of Remembrance. Each year, the trans community loses too many lives, especially trans women of color, to hate and violence.

I guess it’s time to introduce myself. I am a retired community college English professor and administrator, proud mother of two strong daughters along with my two cats. I was also diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at 52 years old. I love to read and listen and play (clarinet and tenor sax) music. Hi!!
