Transition metal dichalchogenides are a very interesting family of layered materials, and niobium diselenide is particularly interesting because being a superconductor and having several charge density wave phases.

We were looking at quite a many aspects of CDW phases of 1H-NbSe2 (one monolayer of niobium diselenide) in this project and lots of background work was done before the focus of the work was refined.
