Not that I’ve seen nationally. We have a paper from UCSF network hopefully coming soon… our local rates are up quite a bit but still low esp among younger men

Great Q. I’m optimistic. % of low risk disease at dx has fallen to ~20%, and rates of AS for low risk are rising. We’re increasingly able to define—and even implement—smarter screening.

Totally agree. NPV for MRI over many studies is consistently more like ~90% — when read by high volume experts.

MRI pre-biopsy is super helpful, but for a reflex test to r/o bx altogether we have better options that are also (in the US and only in the US) a lot less expensive.

Pathologists are definitely less enthusiastic but there is a generational effect that specialty too (see the paper).

The arguments are getting stronger. It’s probably just a matter of time…
