That's when the people realized it. Not only could they not see the Government--the Government could also no longer see them.

I woke up just as the riots started.

The second day, The Hacker--after refusing all interviews from known media--accepted a live broadcast from a small, Wales based podcaster. She wanted no ransom. She gave to ultimatum. She just wanted a reset, and this was it.

This obviously threw the US into chaos. The people had no way of knowing if the Government was even still running--there was no way of communicating with the Citizens, with no reliable/trusted mass outlets. The first day was just mass confusion.

The Hacker (played by Mae Whitman apparently...) Not only blocked Elon, Trump, Bezos, Zuck, The White House, DoJ, SCOTUS, CNN, Fox, ONN and other major players from accessing their accounts, but also completely deleted their entire lifetime of post histories.

One day, while I'm on the street with some friends, I get bumped and a woman steals my workbag with my laptop. Somehow she manages to hack it and breaks into the Twitter/X, FB, Bluesky, T-Social, and all of the smaller socials as well.

It took place about a year or two from now... as the US has settled into its new Surveillance State of existence. We're all just, part of it now. Nothing we can do about it, so we go to work and try to live our lives.
