Then it’s on to the S60 Train/Tram that runs from Ponte Tresa to central Lugano! I love these niche Swiss railways!

The bus takes you over the border close to Luino, then runs along the river which forms the border. At Ponte Tresa, the border post is on the bridge, but wit no checks, people are just crossing at will
