Despite the description with "Fortitude+" (Hard / Hard Reverse only), knife debuffs still work and critical hits do x2 damage.

Done with the dreaded Super Sonic Speed Grand Prix and back to Sonic Speed mode.
It's not just the difficulty but you're much likely going to mess up and fall off the tracks even when letting go of accelerate.

I can hold my own in Sonic Speed at Level 8.
Super Sonic Speed is a mess in this game and I have to lower the difficulty to at least 6.
When I'm done with Grand Prix, I'm right back to Sonic Speed where things feel normal and doable.
