When Herod sought to kill Jesus, Mary and Joseph fled with him to Egypt. Christ himself was a refugee fleeing political violence. This matters. Immigration status didn't matter.

The Bible is consistent in calling for kindness and justice toward the “foreigner,” “sojourner,” or “stranger.” God ties Israel’s righteousness to how it treats immigrants.

“Do not oppress a foreigner; you yourselves know how it feels to be foreigners.” – Exodus 23:9

Genesis 1:27 teaches that every person, regardless of citizenship or status is made in the image of God. To mistreat an immigrant is to dishonor the divine image within them.

This is far justice. It’s oppression.
“Whatever you did for the least of these… you did for me.” – Matthew 25:40
We are called to have compassion.

This administration is not just targeting illegals but also people following the law:
– Arrested at ICE check-ins
– Picked up at court dates
– Raided at 5th grade graduations
– Families torn apart mid-process

They didn’t use the title. Someone else addressed them as such.
