This book has been a marvelous direction for my attention over the last couple of weeks. And now I feel ready and excited to start in on reading Montaigne’s tome itself!

"Focus on your breathing, and on what's in your control" they said. I am in control of the oven temperature and cooking time of a 2 lb beef rump roast, with onion and roasted mushroom gravy. And mashed Japanese sweet potatoes that came in a produce CSA box, which I'd never cooked before.
