This has been the case in the US for decades. Even in expensive cities/markets, most media employers offer low salaries & don’t give raises (if any!) that come anywhere close to keeping up with the inflation & housing costs they keep reporting on 🤦🏻‍♀️

What does it take to break into the journalism industry today? Many young journalists live paycheck to paycheck, take on debt, and juggle multiple jobs to make ends meet.
