We were recently visited by William Lindesay, OBE, who is an expert on the history of China's Great Wall, and of the historical contributions of Doylestown's world explorer: William Edgar Geil, who was the first to fully photograph The Great Wall. youtu.be/Q5ucoodFquQ?...

It was an honor for us to have William Lindesay visit for a presentation on "Doylestown's Forgotten Explorer" William Edgar Geil. In 1908, William Geil photo documented The Great Wall, and preserved history for China. Geil was born, lived and died in Doylestown, and is buried at Doylestown Cemetery.

In the early morning hours Thursday morning, a fire started in the display room addition. We are grateful to the fast response of Doylestown Fire Co. along with other volunteer fire teams in the region. Their work helped save a lot of irreplaceable historical artifacts and records.

RIP iconic actor #GeneHackman. He had a bit of a #Doylestown connection. Early in his career, he participated in a US Civil Defense video. This was filmed in 1966, mostly in Doylestown at the "new" Bucks County Courthouse. You will recognize a few street scenes here.
