A lot of the political content is bad but really what broke Twitter/X for me was the extent to which it began pushing endless videos of violence at me... just people getting punched, assaulted, run over, fighting... I like to think I'm fairly mentally resilient but constant exposure altered my mood.

I saw a good meme earlier along the lines of, if you're the kind of guy who believe tech bros like Musk have got your interests at heart, you're the same kind of guy who believes the stripper actually fancies you.

These tactics are incredibly dangerous.

Jess Phillips already has to have enhanced police protection & been told not to travel alone after Elon Musk called her a "rape genocide apologist" on X.

The Tories are stoking the flames of hatred. This is a bonfire that can quickly spread out of control.
Utterly despicable tactics.

The Conservatives are forcing a vote on a wrecking amendment to the Children's Wellbeing & Schools Bill to push a national inquiry that Labour will HAVE to vote against.

If the Bill died now there'd be no new protections for vulnerable kids - and no inquiry.

Why has @skynewss.bsky.social turned into the PR wing of the Tory Party? Its snide sideswipe at the foreign secretary’s important visit to the Caribbean today is disgraceful. I doubt very much that he will have “time for a dip in the sea and a cocktail.” Get a grip @bethrigby.bsky.social & co.
