I’m pretty sure this is a gray tree frog. Two of them were hanging out yesterday evening under the front light waiting for flies and things. #photography #wildlife #frogs

Pileated through a fence. In a neighbor’s yard having a great time splashing around in wood dust.

Pileated woodpecker, half (or so) moon, grackle, bunny.

I think this is only the second time I’ve seen a pileated. He didn’t seem to care at all that I was not too far away taking photos.

Spring things.

Considering using #hyperLocalPhotography hashtag and trying to start it as a hashtag for people who are homebound or similar. Any thoughts? #photography #chronicLife #pwME #nature #clouds #spring #springBlooms #bloomScrolling

Tiny finch on a maple branch.

I used to use the hashtag #homeBoundPhotography and started it as a thing for #pwME and other folks to use who might not be able to access “subject matter” outside of the hyper local. Now I’m thinking on potential hashtags to use instead.

In a very nerdy way I just found the goth-est flower. Nature is wild and makes terrifying things. (I’ve always respected flowers, they are ferocious, but this is next level.)

Her name, Tacca chantrieri.

Not a great photo but anyone know what kind of hawk this is? Coopers hawk has a striped tail but I don’t think this is a Coopers? Just seen in western MA.
