This may come across as callous but something that dawned on me a couple of days after his death is that at least, we do not have to worry about him ever running for president.

He was against gun control and once said that "empathy is a made-up, new age term that — it does a lot of damage." So there is that... So let's be honest about how he would feel if this had happened to a Dem... like what happened to Melissa Hortman and her husband.
