Ciaran update- We figured out a big cause for his appetite loss(major dental pain)& meds to ease the pain & get him to eat more but not enough cuz he still has Kidney Disease and sometimes wont eat a full meal. His weight is down again & lab values continue to rise across the board unfortunately.

Cranky and Wobbly but we made it through and back home. Hopefully the next tooth doesn’t need attention for a long while yet..

This sweet black lump is having what would be a very routine procedure for most cats tomorrow but is quite risky for him. We’ve been preparing all week though and the vet staff he’s scheduled with are the fastest hands the clinic has. 🙏🏻

My 2 very serious guard-kitties had their Gotcha Day this month.
Fiona is 15/16 & health as an ox.
Ciaran is 6, a few times this year I was sure he wouldn’t make it to 6. He’s a fighter tho and most days you’d never convince him his kidneys are failing
Being a guard kitty is serious business tho

My 2 very serious guard-kitties had their Gotcha Day this month.
Fiona is 15/16 & health as an ox.
Ciaran is 6, a few times this year I was sure he wouldn’t make it to 6. He’s a fighter tho and most days you’d never convince him his kidneys are failing

Bathroom Sauna Hours for our boy. He has a cold or something. He’s eating pretty ok(no stimulants) but he caught a cold or respiratory infection. We’re getting better tho I think

Huge win tonight is after eating so much during the day, he was still excited for dinner. His appetite stimulant is a 24h dose and I did not give any tonight. I am hopeful we have more time together, but very cautiously..

TUES Ciaran’s 3rd kidney labs were bad, immediately after that he decided to stop eating. 24h of cajoling+new meds he ate the tiniest amts.SAT He ate 1/2 his usual finally, SUN the same til evening after he got another doss of meds. Today he ate like normal for the 1st time in Over a Week, no meds

Silly baby derp, he had a long day most of which he spent hopped up on pre-Appt Gabba. Make your kidneys start doing their job again please 😖
