Thank you so much for all the work you put into this video. As someone who's been going to anime cons since the mid 2000's I thought I knew everything that had gone on with this man, but somehow it's worse that I ever imagined. I wish you a well deserved rest and nothing but peace in the future!

I literally remember being exhausted waiting up for those episodes to go live and when they ended I felt so insane I didn't fall asleep until the sun came up.

And then to get them kissing on the beach??? To get the "his name is Ed" scene??? To get clear, undeniable proof that this was a romance the whole time and no one was going to act like I was crazy for thinking so??? Man, I truly went to another plane of existence I don't think I'll ever go to again.

I remember going into those last couple of episodes and saying to myself "okay, so we might get some vague declaration about how special they are to each other if we're lucky, but there's no way they're going to kiss and the word "love" is not going to pass either of their lips."

Despite the clear and obvious clues that Ed and Stede were, in fact, in love with each other, I still spent those first 8 episodes thinking this could be a super elaborate queerbait; purely because I'd never experienced anything like it before.

i know most people who are not my tumblr mutuals don't know me on here so i hope this take doesn't come off as too hot, but i've seen a few people working themselves into a frenzy over this and guys...it's a silly little christmas special. it's not that serious.

HOWEVER, it's important to remember it's your job to monitor if something is too much for you and leave if you need to and not the creator of a show you like's job to make sure he's not doing something you personally can't handle.

if you're worried because you think this means the show is gone forever or you don't like aspects of the particular story he's telling, you are absolutely allowed to feel those feelings!
