Camp Dearborn is a campground and recreation area, with small lakes and a golf course. It’s owned by the City of Dearborn, but it’s located about 40 miles away in Milford Michigan. Enough background. Let’s talk about the bike riding adventure. See dougvos.com/summer-fun-d...

Although he was a year younger than me, I admired Paul’s sense of adventure, and self-sufficiency. He was an old soul with a wild heart. Perhaps because his mom worked long hours and his dad was an alcoholic. He had to figure things out on his own...

One time Paul built a cool mini bike with a small bike frame, retrofitted with a chainsaw motor. This contraption was really loud, but you could still hear him laughing and screaming as he would drive it really fast up and down the streets in the neighborhood.

Paul was my best friend during my junior high and early high school years. He lived a few houses down from me. Paul liked to go on adventures, and take risks. He had a lot of enthusiasm and he was fun to be around. I remember when we jumped off the garage into his backyard swimming pool. 😅

What if a story about 'Mother and Child in Orbit' was actually in the @nytimes.com or the @chicagotribune.com ? This #art was inspired by the Chicago Picasso Sculpture (1967) in Richard J. Daley Center. cc: @detailsinart.bsky.social, @bsky.art

Underachievement may also be due to insufficient knowledge, limited perspective, or a lack of inspiration. However, a person can develop his creativity and be more productive as he seeks knowledge and wisdom.

An underachieving person does less than he could or should. Remaining in his comfort zone, he misses opportunities to grow. Apathy may cause him to rush through an assignment because he doesn’t care about the quality. He may not realize how his lack of effort impacts others and saps their energy.

Creativity does not always mean having a new idea, but it may mean applying what you already know in a different way. The creative person thinks of ways to improve results and produce excellent work. He is excited when his ideas benefit others.

When you focus only on your own perspective, your understanding will be limited. Many problems can be resolved by looking at them differently.

Understanding and inspiration often come as you ask God for wisdom. Or consult with trusted advisors for new ideas -- to get unstuck.

When he actually does help someone, he probably will expect that person to repay him for his good deed. Until he turns his focus away from himself, he will not experience the joy of serving others.

Do you have the gift of availability?
February 25, 2025 at 3:43 PM
The opposite of availability is self-centeredness. A self-centered person considers his own interests first and is hardly mindful of the needs of others. If one is focused on himself, he may expect others to always accommodate him.
