I’m still a little wary of the Batman and Superman books but I read the first issues of Absolute Green Lantern, Flash, and Martian Manhunter today. And damn. Great stuff. Very bold reinventions. Really wonder what effect the eventual shared universe shift will have on them.

Creature Commandos is off to a great start! Ep 1 is a bit hurried but it really lets Ep 2 run free. The Bride stuff is definitely the high point so far!

Morrison? Way? Pollack? Other? (No wrong choices!)

Saw Heretic last night. Overall a really good time! It has a deliciously slow burn first act but its belabored pace eventually takes a long time to say very little. Hugh Grant absolutely KILLS it though, one of the most compelling horror villains in years. #Horror #Horrorsky

First time seeing Black Christmas (1974) tonight. So much to admire –from its influence on the slasher genre to its feminist messaging– but what I mostly keep thinking about is how ominous and oppressive it manages to make all those Christmas lights.
