I'll pay more attention to those to see if I agree with you. They do important work, though, and I'm scared of what the world looks if we tear down actual journalism because we don't like some of their headlines. I don't mean that you are doing this, I'm talking about others.

As a reader, you know that they've already covered those events, though, and blurbs can only be so long. I don't find this particular wording troubling, but I respect your feelings about it. I won't say they never make mistakes, but the vitriol I see every day bothers me. They do important work.

I get the frustration, but as someone who reads much of the NYT on a regular basis, I find this narrative frustratingly overblown on the Internet. Their news doesn't (and shouldn't) have opinions in it. With respect, I think you'd find the anti-Trump pieces more than "occasional" if you looked.

Agreed, though even if Harris personally were on board with this from a moral perspective, she also has to win this election, and I shudder to imagine what dark calculus that involves...
