I’m curious… democrats are vilified for trying to raise taxes to cover our deficit. Aren’t Tariffs just an extraordinary federal tax increase? Should that be more a focus for the dems?

We’ll have flu shots, but less good science to guide selection of the best strains to immunize against. If that leads to a less effective vaccine then people will die and healthcare costs will rise unnecessarily.
Not to mention if jfkjr succeeds in discouraging vaccination. As a Dr… hard to see

And people/states (e.g. Louisiana) feel emboldened to back off pushing for vaccinations now that Trump/RFKjr are in power. The only silver lining here is we get to learn again the importance of vaccinations as groups of people under vaccinating become ill and die at higher rates.

As a physician who spent my entire career as a healthcare executive, I have always known our system is the worst of all western nations for coverage

And because we don’t cover everything or everyone, the poor health stats from the underinsured drag down our health statistics
