Navy vet, not so much a Democrat as an Eisenhower Republican, and no longer welcome among other modern Republicans. Fiscal conservative, social moderate. 420 tolerant. LGBT Friendly. Lol
Just to answer my own question, it’s between 1700 to 1900 miles from Venezuela to the US by sea. In an open boat. With an outboard engine. A small, open boat supposedly carrying enough drugs to make the trip not only profitable, but worthwhile while also carrying fuel, food and water for the crew

And you know the only people who will be punished for war crimes and following illegal orders will be the enlisted personnel and possibly the low level officers who followed those orders, not the officers who gave them or the civilian leaders who created the situation.

How is something taught to every enlisted member of the military sedition? Encouraging military members to disobey orders is, but illegal orders? Especially as service members are being called on to commit murder on the high seas and are being ordered for armed deployment on American soil.

For anyone wondering WTF I’m referring to, Neville Chamberlain was Great Britain’s Prime Minister who negotiated a peace treaty with Adolf Hitler just before the start of WW II.

He viewed it as a great success.

It was not.

I am 64, and I honestly cannot recall another president calling for individuals to be jailed. Incidents investigated, yes, but individuals jailed?

This is what I see as weaponizing the Justice Dept., something Republicans seem to have been claiming over the past few years.

Interesting how Trump is spiraling down over the trove of documents released from the Epstein estate, documents the DOJ did not consider to be evidence in investigating Epstein. What do you think will happen with the release of documents they DID consider evidence?

The CR that the senate can’t get passed expires in two weeks, on Nov 21. It was never meant to be a permanent solution, it was meant to give the House more time to finish the budget they were supposed to have done by the end of September.

The CR the Senate can’t pass is a red herring, meant as a distraction for Speaker Johnson so he doesn’t have to swear in AZ Rep Grijalva.

So, essentially, Speaker Johnson is keeping the House out of session so the Epstein files are not released.

Just how damaging are they?

I’d like to recognize the Trump administration for it leading the way, finally, resulting in a cease fire between Israel and Hamas. I would find it extremely funny if the Nobel committee awarded the peace prize to … the negotiators of the cease fire, not Trump himself.

Assuming the peace holds.
