And the reply from some would be 'you need to take more personal responsibility' 'why are tou needing govt help', and our collective response to them should be "go f yourself'.
We are either a society for the common good or just crabs in a barrel.

As someone who has spent 35 years reporting on housing or being the PR rep for nonprofit housing, yeah, it's not hedge funds and the like pushing up home prices

Did he say that housing is a right?

I was a finance editor at a small trade pub. Choices are always made on what to publish. News judgment is a big factor and personal bias exists, even when we try to avoid it. Admitting that bias and changing is what makes a great news organization. NYT has let us down a lot lately.

as a former staten islander, I can tell you that most of the people on that Island are crying right now. They never vote for a person of color. Adams won despite more than 70% of Staten Island voters voting against him, and he was a cop.

democrats have always supported the second amendment, just not to the extent that gun happy, kill them if they bump my car and 'threaten' me 2A supporters. Smaller magazines; no armor piercing bullets, background checks, red flag...things most people support.

Doesn't matter. Policy doesn't energize voters, emotion does, and hate is the strongest emotion. Taxing billionaires does fire up the brain as much as 'those people are taking your jobs.'

As a former resident of the Island, I wish 20% would move. Traffic is terrible.
