The 4K disc of Dr. Jekyll and the Werewolf reveals some detail I never noticed before, like how green and nasty Waldemar Daninsky’s werewolf teeth are before they’re dripping with viscera.

When compiling your Valentine’s Day lists of crazy, smutty but also sorta tender horror books, please don’t forget Little Lugosi (A Love Story) by me from Madness Heart Press. #leechesarelove #indiehorrorbooks

Really grateful to all of you who got Let’s Cut Up Dad! into the Godless top ten. Keep supporting retailers who contribute to worthy causes like @godlesshorrors. In the meantime, for those of you who prefer printed and bound volumes, I have one more hardcover that needs a good home.

Stephanie Jensen is right, I think—Who Dies First is probably my best book, and it NEEDS YOUR LOVE! Please buy or borrow it and read it. I’ll be your friend for life, as long as I don’t die first.

Saddened to hear about the untimely passing of Andrew Pyper. I enjoyed all of his books, but The Residence is a masterwork.

One of the revelations found on the second volume of All the Haunts Be Ours—a Spanish film that speaks to our current circumstances in some profoundly unsettling ways.

I will come over to your house too and read passages from Who Dies first, but you have to buy a copy first.

Here is an unexpected treasure on Tubi, another great made-for-television chiller from the early 70s. This one, a weird western with folk horror imagery, features Ray Milland.

This Halloween, The Trick would make a dandy treat. Just sayin’.

Daniel Braum’s The Serpent’s Shadow from Cemetery Dance—splendid, lyrical writing that builds dread slowly and ominously. Highly recommended!

Straub was brilliant, and Ghost Story is justly celebrated as one of his best, but I don’t think this adaptation gets the love it deserves.

I love 70s-era made-for-TV horror movies, especially when this sort of credit appears. The Cat Creature can now be streamed on Tubi!

Not only is Derik Cavignano one of the nicest people you will ever meet, he is one hell of a writer, and Colony of the Lost is a great book. It’s currently a free download through Book Bub. No finer deal than that!
