Morrow came into the lineup at the worst time. I think given more time to transition to NHL and develop, along with having a much better backstop in net, morrow will be fine

I was about ask why there was so much anti-EK sentiment among canes when I thought he was desired trade target coming out of SJ. Then I realized he’s 35 and making 11m per year 😂 I thought he was younger and at least a little cheaper. No thank you.

I think they performed well and exceed my expectations for them, don’t get me wrong, but being the is high on the list is a product of just being one the last 4 teams. Look at how some of the other top line forwards that were eliminated in rounds 1/2 were performing.

The penalty is “embellishment” but I think the actual action is him holding the stick to intentionally draw the hook

Guentzel wanted to stay. But our GM at the time lowballed him (in part due to our lack of cap situation for the next year) and didn’t meet his ask until he had already decided to walk. Bit canes in the ass. Guentzel and rantanen are entirely diff scenarios

No, he isn’t terrible. But I don’t think a “middle of the pack defenseman“ should be on the first pair, getting both PP and PK deployment and usually being number one or two in TOI on a cup contending team if they’re serious about contending for a cup
