This isn't quite right. The 2016 deal allowed crude oil exports, product exports (e.g. gasoline) were already allowed. Also the 2016 deal did not impact natural gas exports - they are covered under a 1938 law and require DOE approval. There is no evidence natgas exports result in higher prices here.
