Home Depot's free delivery saves me from having to drive 30 miles RT when I need something and I'm in the middle of a project at the lake house. I love it, I really do.

But overpackaging much? 😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫

So how long you think before UVA learns the reality of making deals with a bully?

The betting window is open.

Just another Wednesday.

Gotta admit, though, Trader Joe's has the best "tariff warning" on its pasta items.

This updated AP style produces some really odd-looking lists with a mix of punctuation and not. Lists with mixed structure have always been problematic. Better solution generally is edit to restructure.

Why dies "Grokipedia" sound more like an indexed reference of Trump's hstory with women?

Not sure this is going to have the reception he thinks it might. For starters, what does made outisde the US mean? No foreign films? No location shooting outside the US?
Prepare for the carve-outs and TACO Tuesday.

So. Much. Cost. Saving.
The General Services Administration has given the employees — who managed government workspaces — until the end of the week to accept or decline reinstatement ... Those who accept must report to work on Oct. 6 after what amounts to a seven-month paid vacation.

I grew up in NYC during the latter years of the mob era. (One of my HS classmates became, shall we say, a known "corporate" lawyer.)

And even those mob bosses would have gone, whoa, dude, maybe be a little more subtle.

Dear @apnews.com,

Have you learned nothing about reflexively calling every major change "reform"? The word has a positive connotation. There is a wide swath of people who would vehemently disagree with that. Stick to the neutral "changes."

Censorship much?

WaPo: For example, even the initial planning efforts for June’s parade marking the Army’s 250th anniversary ... was initially categorized as ... “Controlled Unclassified Information,” which would be barred from public access.

Be aware.

You know those mandatory arbitration clauses in about every contract and ToS you agree to these days? The clauses you love to hate? They're coming to the stock market.

Yep. This is the actual 2121. But it has vibes of the typical rats nest of Class B office space. And the former foot spa is the one in Boca. But the one in Houston looks spot on. 🤦‍♂️ So there might still be Carl H. vibes here. 😁

How @apnews.com's boilerplate writing tends to overweight the administration's allegations against Cook. A weak "Cook has denied the charges." Yet just above is a refer to a story severly undercutting the allegations. But nothing about this in the story that will circulate widely w/o that refer.

Don't you always wonder what the marketing and legal department conversations were when you see something like this?
Marketing: Label's good to go.
Legal: Don't forget Project Shelly. Dr. F's making good progress. So maybe best to specify these are "Natural." But don't forget the asterisk.

Powerful.

And a message to be heard by every pol -- no, just everyone -- from whatever party or persuasion.

But especially our elected "representatives" and "leaders." (air quotes intentional)
