Aaaahh those were the days! 70s Cudas are badass and way up there in price nowadays. I had a 73' Nova that a buddy of mine and I brought back to life about 10 years ago. Had to sell it to move but I always have that itch to go back to a classic.

100% agree! The whole album is a great listen. I really enjoy "Ballad of the Sad Young Men".

I think I've pretty much reached the limit of upgrades I can do to my TT. I'm sure I'll notice the difference in the sound, and looking forward to listening to all my records again.

Update: I just bought the M2 Blue!

All good information, thank you! I'm still using the cartridge that came with my AT 120, so I'm sure I'll be able to hear the difference with the red or the blue. I'm wondering if I should just get the blue right off the go, then? The bronze and black sound great according to youtube.

My cartridge is next. I know I should have upgraded that first before the preamp, but I'm still doing my homework on which one will work best for my TT. And the AT PEQ30 was at the best price I've seen, so we start there. I'm mainly looking between the red and blue Ortofon. Thoughts?

I currently don't have a receiver. I'm running everything right off my Klipsch speakers with an equalizer and running the pre-amp from my turntable. I did buy the Audiotechnica phono pre yesterday to improve the clarity. No complaints now, but I know it can be improved.

Totally! It's made me rediscover albums I hadn't played in years. That's a good pick-up for $300. I've been keeping my fingers crossed that I'll come across a vintage Marantz at a good price one day.

Thankfully, I get to WFH 3 days a week. I recently found the randomized feature on discogs, so I've been letting it pick what to listen to.
