Started off the four day weekend by seeing Andy Bell which was fantastic even though I was exhausted after an 11 hour workday that started at 5am.

Finished Kurt Vonnegut’s Galapagos, which took a lot longer for me to read than it should have. Not sure what to make of this one.

Circling the mall parking lot for 30+ minutes trying to find a space is hell, but I made it just in time to see the new Knives Out, Wake Up Dead Man. Thought I was going to miss it.

My favorite movie theater is running Westerns for 3 months which holds no interest for me but I made it here tonight for a silent, The Winning of Barbara Worth. This lobby poster for The Unforgiven might tempt me back to see it next week.

“I already have the dead husband,” said the dude at the next table, with full confidence.

Umm… what? Is he casting a play or am I overhearing something scandalous? Turns out he is directing a play. Darn it! I wanted to hear something more dramatic because my life is boring.

Back at Fort Point again. It was a fun but busy day playing tour guide for visiting relatives.

Chainsaw Man on the big screen tonight. First time in a while where I’m going to see a movie without knowing anything about the plot. But with a title like that, one doesn’t need to know anything else, right?

In personal news, the small-ish company I worked for got acquired by a mega-corporation so things are changing. Just received a work badge which I haven’t needed for years. I still get to work from home… for now.

The sign says Sophie Ellis Bextor tonight, even though it didn’t show up on camera. I hate traveling up to the city on a work night but she’s worth it!

Watched Paddington 2 last night with my mom and she loved it. Then took a quick hike this morning. So I’m starting to become slightly less grumpy than I have been for the last couple of months because of work.

The only thing I hate more than being at a protest rally is this B.S. we’re protesting against. At San Jose’s No Kings.

Thinking back to a grade school PSA that convinced me that I would

1. Play hide and seek in a junkyard
2. Hide in an old fashioned refrigerator and
3. Suffocate to death

Never would I ever do any of these things yet I was terrified it was going to happen to me.

Morning hike before I have to spend the rest of my Sunday catching up on work.

Peter Cushing, Christopher Lee, Jon Pertwee! and Denholm Elliott in the same movie? I’m so there, terrible reviews be damned.
