It does happen! I used a coax jumper to temporarily relocate a modem the other week. Only sat in the box for 9 years!

Feels like there were subtle tweaks to the algorithms after the ban. TikTok used to be the best video app for content discovery. Post ban it feels like it does the same narrow funneling that both YouTube and meta do.

Has Tom Brady’s game cast increased FOXs ratings more than CBS or NBC? I’ve never heard anyone decide to watch a shit game just because Brady was in the booth.

The NFL seriously needs more bye weeks. Two isn’t even enough, the on field product is better when players have time to rest and coaches have time to reset

Well yea. Meta advertising has sort of reached saturation for advertisers. Its ability to add incremental reach is declining and other channels are just as productive with similar cpms.

We do need more generation capacity in this country. Taking a lot of the old coal plants offline and not replacing them with anything is an actual problem. But who the hell will invest in coal powered generation in 2025 without substantial subsidies?

Why was this ever so contentious? It either happened naturally or was the result of lab negligence. Either way it happened unintentionally.
