ALSO IMPORTANT: IF YOU CAN AFFORD IT, MAKE SURE THE KEYBOARD IS HOT SWAPPABLE. THIS MEANS YOU CAN TAKE OUT THE SWITCH AND REPLACE IT WITH NEW AND OR DIFFERENT ONES ANY TIME AKA CUSTOMIZE IT STILL.
Soldered is basically the opposite of hotswap

3. If this is your first real keyboard, don't feel pressured to spending a shit ton of money! This first one will help teach you what you like in a keyboard and what to look for in future ones (it all comes down to preference).

2. 'cause you said silent, I'm guessing you are using a keyboard that you are worried will get picked up on the mic. Linear keys are good at staying silent. They don't have the THOCC or the click of tactile switches; Black, red, yellow = linear switches = quiet and smooth - brown and blue = tactile

THREE VERY IMPORTANT THING!

1. Be sure to check in the prebuilt tab of keyboard stocks if you don't want to make your keyboard. HOWEVER it is typically cheaper to make your own and buy pieces to put together later.

All of these stores have prebuilt keyboards that are under $150 and some that have keyboards that are under $100. I highly recommend Glorious Gaming

Hey! When getting a keyboard, the three big questions to ask:

1. What switches do you want? (Clicky switches, smooth ones, silent ones?)
2. What keycaps do you want (colors/theme?
3. What layout do you want (TKL, 75%, 65%, etc.?)
