Retired theatre professor, art lover, music too (jazz and classical, mostly), intrepid solo traveler, avid reader, and since retirement, obsessed jigsaw puzzler...that's some of me...the pic above is from a walk on Furman's lake - brightness in a dark time
Not Van Gogh, but...irises for Easter, from my walk on Furman U's campus earlier today.

I so enjoy Bluesky! Excellent commentators, and occasional not-political posts, including photos, which are for the most part better than mine. But let me share a literal blue sky and its reflection - from my walk along the lake at Furman U. bright skieseven in these darkest days.

Dark dark days, mes amis...trying to grab what light I can, in any form. Fortunately spring is coming and one small tree at least, along Furman U's lake, is beginning to bloom, and enhanced by the sparkles in the lake. Here it is, a simple gift, for one bieif shining moment....

So many have written much more eloquently about vile performances of DT and JDV in the Oval Office, berating a real hero than I can, so I'll show support visually. Slav Ukraini!

One day into Bluesky - feels good! Following/followed by several former students, other old friends, and one or two people who have introduced themselves to me and seem simpatico.
In short, Bluesky feels like a breath of fresh air. Pic? Blue sky near Lausanne and Lac Leman

Just joined Bluesky, retired theatre history professor, loved international travel before Covid hit. I take walks along the pretty lake at Furman U, so as well as myself, I'd like to introduce you to one of its denizens, Hrk the Heron. Cheers all!
