I guess on the upside the the woman I talked to at clippercard support was polite.

Auto-load failed. I received an email but the website did not corroborate – zero indication that my card was blocked. I disregarded the email. Get on the bus today. NOPE YOUR CARD IS BLOCKED. Follow instructions to unblock; turn auto-load off then back on. Suddenly my card’s balance drops to zero.
