How much can be cut by DOGE?

Let's take a fresh look at our budget since 2000, all relative to GDP.

1. First, lets observe that revenues seem pretty stable at 18% of GDP.

The problem is spending has risen quite a bit to 25% of GDP.

Here are the big categories

We need to ideally cut 7% of GDP here. The big target areas are social security, medicare and medicaid, and VA benefits. All political hot potatoes.

Medicare and Medicaid together have grown from 3.5% of GDP to 7% of GDP. This is a huge problem. President Fred would cut these, big time and de-regulate the entire industry.

President Fred would dramatically scale back and means test social security. I just started getting social security personally, which is a complete joke.

6. VA Benefits are another area I would look to trim. Not sure how, but I am guessing there is fat here. Why have these increased 3x since 2000?

I am going to give BlueSky a shot.
Not sure exactly what is the benefit, but UX is clean
