I remember downloading my first mp3 and then realizing that my computer wasn't fast enough to decode it as the file was playing. I had to convert to .wav first and then play that.

Very good point, particularly because the included GW Bush line is from the era of 1000-2000 points and now we're at 5000.
I think the difference between the changes during the Biden era and the Trump 2 era would still be quite visible - even if it was percentages rather than points.

Can you elaborate on why that's not possible? The SBB financial report shows that it's about 27% subsidized by the state, and I'd think that, unless it _is_ subsidized by the state, unpopular/less-lucrative connections simply wouldn't exist.

das könnte man eventuell mit höheren produktionskosten rechtfertigen, aber dann müsste es in anderen ländern auch so sein. bei aldi deutschland ist hafermilch aber günstiger als kuhmilch... 🤷🏻♀️
