My 80+ y/o stepdad was a lifelong Democrat until 2008. He wouldn’t vote for a man of color, and then despite despising Trump, he wouldn’t vote for a woman. After the 2016 election, he continued to rail against Trump but never took responsibility for his misogynistic role in the election.

Many small businesses including the one I ran for 12 years, don’t offer benefits. It was out of the question financially. The ADA including Medicaid expansion made having health insurance possible for me, my employees and also the artists I represented. We were all working already.
