Comparing two different situations and calling one worse because of maybe a higher count is asinine. The majority of boys born every year get cut by doctors and at the parents discretion. 2 million girls get this done annually against their will, most often not during infancy but during puberty.

Because male circumcision is trivial compared to women getting "circumcised" (mutilated) because it's a form of control. Males have it done because of some stupid Judeo-Christian tradition that somehow became a western norm, when it happens to a woman it's an extreme act of oppression.
