I don't want a long, undignified and protracted death from an incurable illness like my mother endured. She even stored up a cocktail of tablets but was unable to speak, eat, move, control her bowels or have the ability to take them in the end. It's barbaric how people have to endure a slow death.

To my shame, in our corner shop yesterday, I laughed out loud on seeing the Sun front page:
"Police rummage through Mandelson's drawers"
Please don’t misunderstand me, I despise the Sun and I am appalled by Epstein, but I grew up in the 60s/70s.
Sorry.

It's a shame that many people can't celebrate children, unlike our European neighbours who joyfully include their children in meals out and festivities. Meanwhile we have adverts for cruises that declare "and no children" as a marketing bonus. I love a toddler in a restaurant, so entertaining!

That's not a life.

We received virtually no support when we were parents. It is my greatest joy to look after my 2 year old granddaughter and it is even more necessary in these tough economic times.
We've just finished our 10 hour shift and are exilherated and exhausted. Can't wait for tomorrow's 7am start! So lucky.

I think the statement "whatever someone's views are on climate change is, the polar caps are melting" says enough about her capacity for comment on anything.

They don't know what they're missing!
I got one day of paternity leave for each of my boys.
The joy and delight of caring for my granddaughter 2 days a week is worth so much more than any selfish cruise or holiday. Mind you, two 10 hour shifts is just enough. Total admiration for today's parents.

I really am desperate to comment on the level of self-belief of the evicted one but feel duty bound to keep it to myself. So frustrating. So much fun.

My son recently started work in a prep school after 10 successful years in the state sector. He is shocked by how poor much of the planning and teaching is.
In fairness, they have been appointing from the state sector in recent years so things are getting better, as is his work life balance.

Does anyone remember when they had to make the promise she would only ever be known as Queen Consort? Or did I imagine that?
They're a strange lot.

Off you pop then.

Well that's disappointing. I enjoyed all his johnson/tory stuff but I guess its harder to go at labour with the same vitriol, so he's gone for the usual.
You can't do misogyny for laughs. Pillock.

When we were trying, without much success, before the advent of IVF. I would often reflect that as a couple, you could be 100% not pregnant before being 100% pregnant. I've applied this principle to employment and other things. We are now 100% grandparents to our beautiful 2 year old granddaughter.

Do you really believe that a new Chancellor of the Exchequer, on moving out of their family home to 11 Downing Street, would be closely involved in letting their home out? I would hope they would be more focused on their government role and simply hand the letting out job to a professional.

Before calling for her resignation, do you think it might be better to wait for information regarding the property agent's roll in this £800 licence fee omission?

My two elder brothers went to public school, while my elder sisters and I went to the local 1700 pupil comprehensive. We comp kids went on to university, got degrees, and did well.
My eldest brother did ok, and my other brother is still traumatised and resentful about his experience.

If you haven't already, I recommend you listen to the last two episodes of The News Agents with Emily Maitliss. Grim and depressing, but illuminating.

It does not work. It is an obscenity that this country needs to grow out of and let go.
