It's so good! And yes, has gotten somehow more *real* in recent time. The sequel to this called 'The Every' is also excellent but I preferred this one!

Agreed! I've always preferred her books set in the 50s and 60s - the setting seemed to work better with her style. But pleased that there's still some out there left that I have yet to read ♡
