Also the more I watch Queer as Folk in my older age the more I love Ted. And honestly @scolo222.bsky.social does the character so much justice. I know we all love the more in your face characters, but there’s something so soothing about Ted’s quiet loyalty and gentle love.

I am rewatching my favorite Queer as Folk scenes and it occurs to me. I first watched this show when I was in college in 2009, aka Obama era, and I never thought I’d personally understand the fights the characters went through. Now I know all too well. Further proof my comfort show still has merit.

I miss my Nana and Pop so much today. It’s my 7th Christmas without my Pop and my 5th without my Nana. So, to feel comfort I’m watching Mama’s Boy on Max. The way Dustin Lance Black tells a story makes me feel less alone in my grief.
