I also feel like they've taken the approach this off-season of saying: "We're in demand, let's get the players we like and sort it out after." Maybe Okamoto is underutilized in 2026 but there will be a DH spot for more at bats in 2027, for example.

It's possible! Will probably be clear after we see the dollars. I'd think it impacts Bo more than Tucker.

Question to me, and it will be clear after we see the money, is if they see Okamoto as a Bichette replacement or a luxury Ty France? Not crazy they could add Okamoto on a big deal and Bichette, and use Clement as a super utility, but that seems less likely.

I like the Cameron Winter album a lot... but didn't like the Geese album. I don't know what that makes me.

Interesting. He's obviously an interesting candidate to end up with the Bellinger-esque short-term + opt-out strategy, too.

Just a guess, but I feel like the consensus has been that Bo is going to get something in the Willy Adames/Dansby Swanson/Javier Baez range of contract while he's been out aiming for the Corey Seager/Trea Turner/Xander Bogaerts range.

He's not in Keegan's post, but Pablo Lopez as a trade candidate is up high on my wish list.

I agree on the substitution - but if they know Bo isn't going to be able to play 9 innings, I feel like he should be batting elsewhere in the lineup than the cleanup spot behind Vlad.

I think, against Snell, the Jays would want to start Barger & Lukes on the bench, which makes it easier to slot Springer in the OF and Bichette at DH, keeping their strong IF defense. Then you can kind of go from there - how does Bo look at the plate, how does Springer look in the outfield?

They can use something like this on Friday against Snell perhaps - since Barger and Lukes could sit, so Springer in the OF makes some sense.

RF Springer
3B Clement
1B Vlad
C Kirk
DH Bichette
LF Schneider
CF Varsho
2B IKF
SS Gimenez

Although that HR is just small sample size too. It's tough to say!

Obviously Bieber has the pedigree, but it's tough to get a read a little bit. He's really struggled with homers, which might be especially concerning if they play the Yankees. (Also might be something that makes them prefer him starting at home rather than New York or Boston)

I get that, for sure, but I feel like it isn't so clear who their best SP even is outside of Gausman.

I wonder if Bassitt's big home/road splits tempt them to give him the Game 2 start.

I vote for Willi Castro. Not a slugger, but a good hitter who can play any position and fit the team smoothly. Second pick is Ryan O'Hearn, who is a bit similar to Naylor but has much more recent OF time.

I had to go. The other place made me miserable to log onto. I do feel like I'm missing out on a lot of discussion/opinions/insights I'd like to see, especially real-time stuff, though.

More, like, say, Scherzer and Alonso?
